Best Supporting Actress in a Play
Kerry Howard, Jack Absolute Flies Again
Smashing the fourth wall with absolute glee, Howard took real ownership of the Olivier stage as if it were a second home, a real joy of a performance to behold.
Honourable mention: June Watson, A Doll’s House Part 2
An actress whom I’ve long admired who really did have a great year between this and As You Like It.
Deborah Findlay, Orlando
Marieke Heebink, A Little Life
Wendy Kweh, Much Ado About Nothing
Tracy-Ann Oberman, Noises Off
Eileen Walsh, The Crucible

Best Supporting Actress in a Musical
Yuki Sutton / Amy Parker, Ride
I made a couple of trips to see Ride, such was my love for the show, and getting to see alternate Amy Parker as well as Yuki Sutton was a real treat, both hard-working performers heart-swellingly excellent in this gem of a new musical.
Honourable mention: Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, Hex
Much may have been questioned about Hex but I think one thing we’re all agreed on is that Hamilton-Barritt steals the show with her vocal prowess, peerless comic timing and huge empathy for what could have been a much more dour character in other hands.
Rosie Ashe, The Great British Bake Off – The Musical
Nadine Higgin, Legally Blonde
Kayleigh McKnight, LIFT
Sally Ann Triplett, Billy Elliot
